November 2010: The decision is made to go on a trekking tour in Nepal. It was to be to the Nangpa La Pass (5,716 m) on the border with Tibet, which had made the headlines in 2006. This tour leads into one of the most remote corners of the Himalayas and therefore seemed more appealing to us than the classic tours in the Everest region. Due to the remoteness and the associated logistics, we undertook this trip with an experienced organiser.
